Nylon Recoil Airlines

Our recoil airlines are manufactured from our flexible nylon tube. These can be supplied with or without fittings and standard 4” tails. Mainly used in conjunction with air operated hand tools the superb spring form memory allows the coil and hand tool to recoil from the immediate working area. Standard colour black, other colours available. All standard recoils supplied with plain ends, or C/W 1/4 BSP swivel tapermale fittings and spring guards.

Working pressures and temperatures

The working pressures quoted within the charts are based on the short term burst pressure calculated at 20°C using a 4-1 safety factor. Working and burst pressures of semi-rigid nylon is approximately 60% higher than for flexible nylon. Maximum recommended continuous working temperature is 70°C and occasional limited periods of up to 120°C. For elevated temperatures up to 110°C with intermittent use up to 140°C for limited periods then a semi rigid nylon should be used. Any increases in temperatures above 20°C will affect the short term burst pressure quoted, see graph and example. Minimum operating temperature -40°C.

Polyurethane recoil airlines

We are able to offer a range of Polyurethane Recoil Airlines, these are especially essential when extra flexibility is required. Polyurethane recoils have exceptional resistance to abrasion so are ideal in workshop situations.

Tube forming

As an addition to recoil airlines, we are able to offer Pre-forming of our range of tube in a variety of Polymers, PVC, Nylon, Polythene, and Polyurethane. The Pre-forming of tube can assist in reducing costs by easily eradicating the need for tube fittings, such as elbows and T-Pieces. Therefore we would be pleased to quote for any shape or form regardless of size, material or quantity.
